Concept

There are six stages to our From concept to completion™ process. This process helps ensure that your custom kitchen will meet your expectations and your budget.

1. THE CONCEPT CONSULTATION (1 – 1.5 hours)

The first step is to contact Denca and schedule a concept consultation with one of our professional designers. You will be introduced to the Denca cabinetry lines and discuss possible layouts and important design considerations:

Door style, material and color selection

Soffit, mouldings and light valence options

Explore storage, waste disposal, utensil/cutlery accessories & handles

What should you bring?

• Floor plan

• Rough dimensions & photos of your space

• Scrapbook of images & design inspiration

• Appliances, sink & faucets

• Budget for project

Depending on the size and scope of your project it will take 1-3 weeks to prepare a preliminary design scheme/estimate for the Design Consultation.

2. THE DESIGN & QUOTE PHASE

Your designer will schedule a meeting at your home or at our studio. You will be presented with design solutions for your space along with an initial quote.

For renovations, we recommend meeting at your home, in order to walk you through our design concept. We will also complete a site-measure.

Upon completion of the design consultation, a 3% retainer fee* of the cabinetry value will be requested to progress to the Planning Stage.

*This retainer fee will be applied towards the purchase of your cabinetry.

3. THE PLANNING STAGE

After your design consultation, your designer will analyze your selections and choose the optimal solutions to suit your needs. You will be presented with a package containing the following components:

• Final floor plans & elevations

• Compiled specifications

• Color schemes & materials

• An extensive estimate including (if applicable);

– Cabinetry

– Countertops

– Appliances, sink, faucet & tile – 50% deposit required

– Renovation & trade quote

– Sample sign off

– Contract sign off

– 50% at contract sign off

Depending on the size and scope of your project it will take 1-3 weeks to prepare a preliminary design scheme/estimate for the Design Consultation.

4. THE MANUFACTURING & PREPARATION STAGE

While you are busy preparing your home for your new Denca cabinets, our skilled craftsmen are focused on building your custom cabinets in our local manufacturing facility.

Pre-Site Inspection: Our installation coordinator will call you 1-2 weeks prior to install to arrange a pre-site inspection and confirm your install date.

Our site inspector will:

• confirm measurements & note any changes,

• ensure plumbing & electrical are placed accordingly,

• determine delivery options,

• answer install questions,

• prepare Denca for your site conditions.

5. THE INSTALL PROCESS

DELIVERY

We will deliver the cabinetry on the day of install, and depending on the size of the project, the installer will start day of delivery or the day after. 50% cabinet progress payment is due on or before this date.

COUNTERTOPS

We will set up a countertop template date for Denca supplied countertops. Your designer will meet the countertop templator on site. Sinks are required to be on site for template day. Countertops take 3-5 weeks after template depending on the supplier and material availability. Cooktops, downdrafts and faucets are required to be on site for countertop install day.

SCHEDULING

Our scheduler will keep you posted on the phases of your install. Do not hesitate to contact them at any time.

INSTALL

Our installer will require an area to set up his tools, close to the cabinetry install. The amount of time to install your cabinetry will depend on the size and complexity. An average Denca kitchen takes 5-6 days to install.

APPLIANCES

Denca will install all appliances supplied by Denca. Appliance install typically takes place once flooring, countertops and other trades have completed their work. Payment due prior to delivery to site (industry standard).

SERVICE

Once our installer is finished, he will submit a service list for items that need to be completed at a later date such as; finished kick plates after floors are installed and cabinets that need to be installed after countertops.

Final 15% is due upon completion.
