Thanks to DENCA Cabinets for the absolutely incredible DONATION of this beautiful kitchen to Highbanks. Eight years ago, when Highbanks had first purchased the Bowview Building and started renovations in preparation of housing and supporting young moms and their children, Jens at Denca stepped up to the plate and DONATED 2 magnificent kitchens to the cause.
When our recent renovation and addition project started last year, Denca was again asked to help us out with a new kitchen and Jens agreed. We were so thrilled because in our eyes, Denca makes the best kitchens in town. We have put the original 2 kitchens through several families over the years and they have truly stood the test of time.
Our beautiful new kitchen will function as a place for our young moms to gather for the MUM (moms u matter) Program provided to Highbanks by the wonderful ladies at the Junior League. This program brings our mothers together once a month to learn about nutrition and money saving tips and techniques for the preparation of delicious food for their families.
It will also be used as the gathering place for volunteer lunches, and conversation and meal sharing with residents and staff. Creating a community of support, acceptance, and belonging is the premiere goal at Highbanks. This kitchen makes that job easy. Our families especially LOVE to gather around the big, generous island!
Everyone know that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Thank you so much for providing Highbanks with the most beautiful 'heart' we could have ever imagined.
